In short
- We collect what Vedmi needs to help you study: your account, your study setup and your learning.
- We never sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.
- Spoken questions are turned into text and the recording is thrown away.
- Your questions and notes are not used to train AI models.
- You can download or delete your data from Settings at any time.
1.Who looks after your data
VEDMI is run by Noveward Technologies Private Limited, Delhi, India. We decide how your data is used and are responsible for protecting it. This policy explains what we collect when you use VEDMI and what we do with it.
2.What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored by our sign-in provider in a form we cannot read.
- Your study setup: your class, board, subjects and the name you want Vedmi to use.
- Your learning: questions you ask Vedmi, the text or part of a page you ask about, quiz answers and how sure you felt, notes you write, note photos you upload, study notes, your plan and exams, and which chapters you open. This is what lets Vedmi remember what you find easy or tricky.
- Spoken questions: on plans with voice, your recording is sent to be turned into text and then thrown away. We do not keep recordings.
- Plan and payments: your plan, when your pass started and ends, and how many credits you used. Payments are handled by our payment partner. The mobile number you enter at checkout goes to them for the payment and its receipt. We receive the payment status and reference, never your card, UPI or bank details.
- Technical basics: cookies that keep you signed in and remember the last chapter you opened, and server logs used to keep the service working and secure.
3.How we use it
- To run VEDMI: answer your questions, make quizzes and notes, and show your work on every device.
- To personalise your study: what to revise, which mistakes keep coming back, and what to do next.
- To manage your plan, credits and payments, and to send account emails such as password resets.
- To keep VEDMI safe, prevent misuse and fix problems.
- To understand AI costs and improve VEDMI, using records that do not identify you.
4.What we never do
- We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run VEDMI, who must keep it confidential and use it only for VEDMI, or when the law requires it.
- We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
- We do not use your notes or questions to market to you.
5.Students under 18
Most VEDMI students are under 18. A student under 18 should use VEDMI with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. We collect only what is needed for studying, never show ads and never build advertising profiles. A parent or guardian can write to us at help@noveward.com to see, correct or delete their child's data.
6.Your choices and rights
- Download your data: Settings, then Privacy, then Download my data.
- Delete your data: Settings, then Privacy, then Delete my data. This removes your learning data, notes and photos, and cannot be undone.
- Correct your details: change your name, class and subjects in Settings.
- Close your account or ask anything else: write to help@noveward.com.
7.How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete it, it is removed from VEDMI straight away, and from backups within a limited period. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax law requires. Cost records may be kept after your identity has been removed from them.
8.Keeping data safe
Data travels over encrypted connections. Your learning data is visible only to your account, and only the people who run VEDMI can reach it, when needed to fix a problem. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9.Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
10.Contact and grievances
For any privacy question or complaint, write to help@noveward.com. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month. See also our terms of service.
